This Is The Workout Behind Adele's Weight Loss

After Adele’s recent split with Simon Konecki, it’s safe to assume that the singer is pouring her heartbreak into another chart-topping album. But it turns out that the 31-year-old is also reportedly focusing on overhauling her health and fitness, too.

According to The Sun, the mum-of-one has taken up reformer pilates and is ‘feeling better than ever’.

In the past Adele has not held about about how much she dislikes dieting and working out (remember this hilarious ‘Gram?) but fans have been vocal about her noticeable weight loss of late, particularly in snaps of the star hanging out with the Spice Girls.

“Adele has been out enjoying herself and she sees that as her priority at the moment, along with being a mum to Angelo. She has been loving her new workout regime and it really works for her,” The Sun reports, adding that the star has lost over six kilos thanks to the exercise routine.

“It’s a bonus that she has shifted some weight. Her mates are glad she’s letting loose and there’s nothing but good feelings towards her. She’s got a new lease of life.”

Adele joins the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Miranda Kerr and Kate Hudson in their devotion to workout, renowned for building muscle tone and improving mobility.

“Pilates is a system of exercise that incorporates stretching and strengthening exercises that help you to realign your body and balance out any weak or tight muscles that you may have,” pilates expert Alex Richardson told Women’s Health. “A good Pilates workout is structured strategically to address posture, core activation, glute activation and flexibility.”

But before you sign up for reformer pilates and expect instant results, remember that maintaining a healthy diet is also a major factor in overhauling your health. In previous years, it’s been reported that Adele has followed the Sirtfood Diet which includes low calorie, wholesome foods with an abundance of proteins, juices, fruits and veggies. The best part about it? You are allowed to indulge in red wine and dark chocolate.
