If you were needing some #mondaymotivation to get to the gym, singer Jessie J delivered it in her latest Instagram Stories. Jessie got in a tough workout with her trainer, Josh Iwanaka,
over the weekend and shared the entire thing with her followers.
“Posting this to stay inspiring to anyone I might have been inspiring. You got it! Slow and steady. Go at your own pace. Focus on the mental and your mind and body will appreciate the benefits <3,” she captioned the Story.
In the first Story clip, Jessie, 33, is doing some mobility work followed by some squats on a Bosu ball for balance and core strength while wearing a cute tie-dye matching set from LiCi Fit (which she notes is, “So comfortable!”).
In another clip, she has a resistance loop around her knees as she does some squats and holds. She also does some weight lifting, squatting with a bar behind her neck.
In the second story, she is rocking an all-black Splits59 outfit and using kettlebells for some deadlifting. She also gets in some reverse lunges, followed by glute/hip bridges and some work pushing a sled.
And she posted another Story on Monday, this time showing her working with Iwanaka on some TRX moves, chest presses, cable machines, free weights, and some booty work using a bench. Get it, Jessie!
Jessie is dedicated to getting in the gym for her physical and mental health.
“[Working out] really makes me feel positive,” she previously told Women’s Health UK. “It releases endorphins—and I never really used to believe in that until I started working out. You do really get this sluggish feeling before a workout where you’re like, ‘Oh, I don’t want to do it,’ and you might feel a little low. But you do a workout, and it gives you that pickup. It makes me feel alive.”
