David Beckham Looked Ripped Playing Pick-Up Soccer in Miami

Over the weekend, soccer legend David Beckham, 44, and his family, including wife Victoria and his four kids Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, played a pick-up soccer game at the stadium of Beckham’s new soccer team (as an owner, this time) in Miami, Florida.

The family was in town for the first match of Beckham’s new Major League Soccer (MLS) team, Inter Miami CF. Unfortunately, the game was cancelled due to the spread of coronavirus.

But Beckham posted a photo to his Instagram to show support to the MLS community in light of the cancellation. (Like other professional sports leagues like the NBA, MLS has suspended games for 30 days amid the coronavirus pandemic.)

“It’s times like these when we are reminded of the things that are truly important in life. Our health, our loved ones and looking after those that need support in our communities. In these moments, sport takes a back seat. We must all listen to expert advice and do the right thing. Stay safe and look out for yourselves and your families x #LaFamilia,” he captioned his post.

He also gave more of a glimpse of the stadium and the pickup game.

And his wife Victoria also shared a post on her Instagram with pictures of Beckham and their four kids.

During the family’s game, Beckham stripped off his shirt, and his toned abs clearly stole the spotlight. And to stay in shape, Beckham is apparently a fan of ‘fitness snacking,’ according to an interview with Men’s Health UK last year.

“[Fitness snacking] involves short periods of exercise dotted throughout the day, rather than doing it all in one go,” says the U.K. trainer Matt Roberts. “Keep a tally in your head. I’ve walked the dog, that’s two points. I went for a 20-minute walk at lunchtime, that’s another two points.”

Clearly, what Beckham is doing is working out for him. Want to fitness snacking yourself? Find every opportunity throughout your day to squeeze in extra activity.
