Lindsey Vonn, 36, is all about posting her intense workouts on Instagram. You could say she’s the queen of #fitspo, between videos of her casually slaying a slackline and posts of her killing it in the gym while wearing jeans and heels. She’s getting fitter by the day during her retirement and sharing all about it.
So, it’s no surprise to see her crushing yet another intense workout in her latest Instagram video. The clip shows Lindsey cruising through some pull-ups, completing lunges with a weight machine, and going hard on an exercise bike.
“Happy to be in the gym without a mask… just missing @gunnarfitness 😔,” she captioned the post. Fans were totally blown away: “👏👏👏👏👏🔥💪👍,” one user commented. Another added, “you go girl!!!”

But Lindsey didn’t just leave it at that—she even offered her best workout advice. When someone asked, “This is a really stupid question, but how do you get that strong? I have never been able to do even ONE pull-up, ever. Is it just lifting?” Lindsey answered.
“@caligirl22397 start with assisted pull-ups with a band or standing on a ball. Then try one rep for as many sets as you can unassisted. Then 2…then 3… and bam!” You know, easy as that.
Lindsey’s typical workout routine with her trainer, Gunnar Peterson (a.k.a. the @gunnarfitness she mentioned missing in her caption), pushes her in the gym. He runs Lindsey through indoor rowing, strength training, boxing, squats, and much more.
Peterson even has Lindsey exercising on the beach, she revealed in an older post. “Brought the gym to the beach… bc I had to work off the fruity cocktails 😋🍹Thx @gunnarfitness 🙏🏻💪🏻#earnyourbooze,” the athlete captioned her video. She shows off her gravity-defying fitness routine while on vacay (and I’m only a little jealous).

But for Lindsey, working out isn’t only about sculpting muscles: “I just like pushing myself,” she told Women’s Health. “I like feeling strong, and when I feel physically strong, I feel so much more mentally strong. When I work out, I feel like I’m healthier and more confident. I’ve achieved something, no matter how small.”
I’ll be over here working on my pull-up game, thanks to Lindsey’s pro tips!
