PARIS — Emmanuelle Walle has been named international director of public relations and influence for Chanel’s fragrances and beauty division starting May 6, according to industry sources.
In the role, she will be a member of the company’s executive committee and report to Anne Kirby, chief executive officer of the group’s fragrances and beauty branch.
Florence Nemo, who formerly oversaw international press relations for Chanel fragrances and beauty, left the company last year.
Chanel executives could not immediately be reached for comment.
Walle is currently serving as international marketing and communication director at Bonpoint, according to her LinkedIn profile. She began with that mother-daughter fashion brand in August 2018.
Formerly, she was a Cartier communications director for three years, starting in July 2015. Prior to that, Walle worked at L’Oréal for four-and-a-half years as international communications and digital director at Kérastase and editorial communications director at L’Oréal Paris international.
Walle also spent time as a journalist, between 1999 and 2010, at titles such as Groupe Marie Claire’s Envy, where she was beauty editor in chief; at Mixte, part of Mondadori France, as style and beauty editor in chief, and as editor of Votre Beauté, another Groupe Marie Claire title.
