As Game of Thrones fans very well know, the final season begins airing next month. In anticipation of the April 14 premiere, GOT-themed products have been popping back up, with beer bottles and Oreo packaging making the rounds. If neither of those strike your fancy, there’s another vice to soothe your broken heart as you watch new episodes of the epic for the last few times: official Game of Thrones wine.
The three varieties—a red blend, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon—were created by award-winning winemaker Bob Cabral, who himself is a GOT fan. He was tasked with crafting wines that “match the strength of the characters and the terrain of their kingdoms,” per the wine’s website.
The 2017 red blend is meant for those who like dry, robust reds and blends six varietals, including Petite Sirah and Zinfandel. For white fans there’s a 2016 Chardonnay that’s fruity and slightly acidic. The third bottle, a Cabernet Sauvignon, is currently sold out.
Each bottle is $20 and can be purchased on the Game of Thrones wine shop. Orders come with a free GOT corkscrew too. In select areas, you can find bottles on Drizly, should you be planning a catch-up binge and need wine ASAP.
