Following Chrissy Teigen’s Twitter account has its benefits. Whether she’s clapping back at trolls, sharing videos of her adorable kids or just generally being relateable AF, there’s no such thing as a bad or dull Teigen tweet. A couple of days ago, one tweet in particular — a photo of salmon — elicited collective excitement. Why? Because now we have just a little more insight into what exactly her new recipe website will entail.
Following the release of her second cookbook, Cravings: Hungry for More, and news that she’s working on a cookbook specifically for kids, Teigen announced back in February she’s working on a website full of her favorite recipes.
Now, Teigen’s dropping more hints about the website, including that she plans on having a section on the site dedicated to under-30 minute meals. Watch out, Rachel Ray.
“Writing new recipes for the website! Doing a special section for 25-minute meals — testing this EXTREMELY garlic herb buttery sheet pan salmon now!” Teigen captioned the tweet. “Ohhhh my it’s soooo good and so easy!!”
Teigen continues to write that she knows “it looks slightly undercooked,” but “it isn’t.”
“You can broil it at the end if you’re insecure about your own mouth but it’s perfect,” she says.
Earlier this week, US Weekly published an interview with the mom, model, author and all-around badass, wherein she admits she doesn’t have an exact launch date yet, but she’s “so excited” to share the “tedious” project.
“I’ve been working nonstop. It’s just really, really fun to do,” she told the publication.
She also reveals she’ll have a section where people can submit any questions they may have for her (including non-culinary questions) via the website or Twitter, and she’ll answer them on the site.
“We’ll keep them all in a file, whether it’s questions about cooking, relationships, kids. I don’t care what it is, I’ll answer anything,” she says. “We have really amazing ideas and I’m just so excited because I want it to have a chat room and a comment section, and I want people to really feel like they’re a part of the site. I don’t want it to feel like it’s some stale site that rarely updates. I want it always to feel new, to feel different. You’re always gonna get some kind of new content and I hope people are really happy with it because it’s been years in the making and it’s coming up soon. I can’t wait.”
We can’t, either, Teigen. We really, really can’t.
