A study published in the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health investigated room temperature and sleep.

The study found this factor to be one of the most important when it comes to quality of your sleep.

The study concluded that sleeping naked helps a person to stay cool and promotes better quality sleep.

One study published in the journal of Applied Physiology investigated whether poor sleep limited the skin’s ability to heal from wounds.

The study involved three different groups with one getting adequate sleep, the other group experiencing deprived sleep and the third being deprived but with extra nutrients.

It was found that the group who received adequate sleep, healed and recovered faster from small wounds compared to the other groups.

This shows that getting enough sleep could help your skin to recover and stay healthy, and if sleeping naked helps that happen, even better.

Promotes weight loss

Most know not getting enough sleep can leave a person cranky and irritated the next day, but it can also impact a person’s waistline.

One study published in Springer Link, looked at 21,000 participants linking their poor sleeping habits to weight gain.

The three-year study found that individuals who slept five hours or less were more likely to gain weight.

Another added benefit of sleeping naked and weight loss includes a colder body at night may help to boost calorie-burning abilities.

Reduces stress and anxiety

Another reason sleeping naked might be a good change is that it could help reduce your overall stress and anxiety.

Studies have found that poor sleep is linked to depression and feelings of anxiousness.

Cortisol (also referred to as the stress hormone) must be kept at a regular level to help cope better with life’s difficulties; and a good night’s rest helps with this.
