Boxing has been a celebrity-loved workout for years, and Shay Mitchell is all about it. The 34-year-old Heiresses star just dropped a new video on Instagram of herself crushing a boxing workout, and it’s seriously impressive.

Shay shared that she’s “back at it” in a series of Instagram Stories. In the first clip, you see a shot of an empty boxing ring. In the next, Shay is going bananas on pro boxing coach Julian Chua. She throws punches, ducks, and weaves at an intense pace that makes it clear she came to play.

“Let’s do this,” she wrote underneath, followed by “therapy for me.” I mean…wow.

While it’s easy to see that Shay has some serious skills in the ring, it’s also hard to miss the fact that she looks incredibly fit. Her legs are toned, her arms are jacked, and she’s clearly loving the workout.

Shay, who welcomed her daughter Atlas in 2019, and she just opened up to Women’s Health about her fitness after having her baby. In January, Shay and her friend Stephanie Shepherd committed to working out five days a week for four weeks as part of a partnership with the app, Openfit.

“It changed everything,” Shay said. “I had way more energy; I don’t have five cups of coffee anymore. I can sound preachy when I’m talking about it, but it totally altered my year.”

During that time, trainer Kelsey Heenan led Shay and Stephanie through a mix of cardio and strength training that was different every day. They did HIIT workouts, EMOMs (every minute on the minute), jump squats, arm and leg raises, and squat presses. Now, she says, she’s able to do pushups.

Shay also likes to supplement her workouts with rope jumping or hikes and, ya know, boxing like a pro.

Instead, Shay said she drinks lemon water in the morning, followed by a breakfast quesadilla that features eggs, spinach, cheese, and olive oil. She snacks on fruit around 11 a.m., and she has soup for lunch. That’s followed by cheese, vegetables, and a glass of wine around 4 p.m. and dinner around 6:30 that packs a balance of starch and vegetables.

Clearly, it’s working for her!
