Starbucks' New Tie-Dye Frappuccino Is an Explosion of Color & Flavor

Nothing says summer quite like tie-dye. The bold, colorful pattern evokes memories of music festivals past. Plus, the print is super in this season. But if you’re looking for a more subtle way to incorporate tie-dye into your life, look no further than Starbucks new Frappuccino: the tie-dye beverage.  But what’s in it?

According to a press release, the crème-based Frapp is made with your choice of milk, ice, and crème Frappuccino syrup, plus natural food coloring — to make the drinks trademark yellow, red and blue swirls. The beverage is then topped with a fluffy cloud of vanilla whipped cream and a sprinkling of colorful sugar.

“We wanted to create something that celebrates summer and really conveys it both visually and through flavor within the beverage,” Starbucks product development manager Paloma Carrington-Batalle said. “We knew it had to make you smile at first sight and our Tie-Dye Frappuccino does all this! It’s summer in a cup and something everyone can relate to; it takes you back to sunny warm days of summer spent at camp or with friends and family.”

This isn’t Starbucks’ first unexpected Frappuccino creation. Earlier this year, the Pink Flamingo Frappuccino was released in Disney Springs and two years ago the chain debuted their now infamous Unicorn Frapp. But if you want to grab the latest blend, you’ll have to act fast. The Tie-Dye Frappuccino will only be available for a few days, or while supplies last.

So head to your nearest Starbucks and grab this ‘gram worthy treat. You’ll be thankful you did.
