Hot baths can burn the same calories as 30 minutes of exercise, research reveals

In regards to the blood sugar levels, the study found there was a similar response from both activities.

As well as this, peak blood sugar after eating was around 10% less for the men who took a bath compared to when they exercised.

Study author Dr Faulkner spoke to The Conversation about the results.

He said: “The overall blood sugar response to both conditions was similar, but peak blood sugar after eating was about 10% lower when participants took a hot bath compared with when they exercised.”
