Here’s How to Watch the CrossFit Open 20.3 Workout Announcement

Fans of the CrossFit might be eager to keep track of the 2020 CrossFit Open, which is about to enter its third week of competition (yes, we know there are still over two months left in 2019, but the top finishers will be qualified for the 2020 CrossFit Games next year). While the Open’s welcome-all-comers format means that competitors are taking on the WODs all over the place, you can still tune in to watch some of the world’s best take on the challenge. (For anyone unfamiliar with the Open’s format, check out this helpful video). The workouts are announced every Thursday over the five week period, with scores due the following Monday.

If you’re interested in tuning in to some top-notch competition when the workouts are announced, you’ll have a few choices. The 20.3 workout announcement will take place this Thursday (October 24) at 8:00 p.m. EST, from two English-language locations, according to a report from Boxrox.

The Norwegian CrossFit Champion will see a competition between Kristin Holte and Nicolay Billaudel, two top athletes from Norway. The coverage for the event will begin at 7:15 EST, and it will stream live on the event’s official Facebook page.

An Australian competition at CrossFit FX will see locals James Newbury and Madeline Sturt go head-to-head. This event will feature live on the CrossFit Games’ website (via YouTube stream), starting at 7:45 EST.

Additionally, the CrossFit Games post entire events on their YouTube page (which, again, is also featured on their website homepage). If you check right now, you can find footage from last week’s 20.2 event.

Best of luck to anyone participating in the Open and striving to crack the leaderboard at their home box. If you’re looking to take on the workouts yourself for fun, though, it’s important to make sure you’re training smart. Last Open, Men’s Health‘s fitness director, Ebenezer Samuel C.S.C.S. suggested staying away from the 19.3 workout, since it could put you at great risk of a serious shoulder injury.
